well its done....
traded my car for $100K even towards a 2004 silver Bentley GT Coupe with 3744 miles on her.
She's Moonbeam Silver with a Saffron/Black two tone interior with extended birdseye maple wood trim.
The final selling price was $142,200.
One huge advantage of this type of deal is that I only pay tax on the difference saving me about $8.5k overall.
I'd be curious as to what the dealership is going to sell the P-car for but best beleive they'll make $10K one way or another.
Here are a few pics.
These are the wheels I went with (non chrome) LOL to go with the monotone look. Gotta love the way the wheelwells are filled.
I've always loved silver/cream combo since I saw this set up on a F430 at the Autoshow in LA. It was actually more a anthricite/cream but this should be a similar effect. Lexus uses this scheme on its SC430 as well.
I would say overall I took about a $5k bath not incusive of shipping charges on this whole ordeal but I must say it was worth it. i learned a bit along the way and got a chance to own and drive one of the best cars out there. At 40 years of age, being my third 911, I finally felt as if I've outgrown the P. It's size and sporting character didnt mean as much to me now as I thought before I pulled the trigger.
The Bentley will be here Friday or saturday.
I can post my driving impressions if theres any interest.

thanks CVAZ
this thing does 0-60 in 4.8 and has a top speed of 208 as well.
But the ultimate highlight of this car is the torque. They say its the only car out there that pulls just as hard from 0 to redline through the entire powerband. It was described as the feeling of an aircraft approaching take-off. You get pinned back into your seat with no let up until you release off the pedal.
Thats gotta be bananas.

thanx guys
its funny how b/t morphed into s/c. It was quite the journey.
Does one ever find autonirvana? Could it simply be just an elusive neverending quest?
The scarey thing is that if I cant find it here, I might as well get a limo and driver. Wouldnt it be sick if the thrill is offically gone? whats left yachts?
Honestly now, as we get older, do you agree that it takes more and more to impress; to get that euphoric tingle...
I remember that first Saab 99 still, in Jr High, My mom told me to look in the garage and I damn near cried. Those weekends picking up the fellas and cruising the strips in search of the opposite sex.

Looks sweet, Pete!
Congratulations! ... Looks like a keeper. And it sounds like you're happy with it. Glad things worked out for you. Good for you!

i see you got up to 182.....
one of my goals was to get past 200 and snap a pic....
HOW?
I bet trying to concentrate on your dial with a camera in your hand at 200 has got to be about the scariest things imaginable.
I gotta drive to Bonneville to get to 200 safely huh...
I dont know how long it takes a Bentley to get to 200 but every other car Iv'e had 150 seemed an eternity.
you stomp it...wai, wait, wait and a minute later, youre still creeping up a MPH at a time then the turn comes up ahead and you have to let off....
I cant think of where to try this here at home in No. CA...any ideas?

Suggestions for silver care. Give Optimum No Rinse Car Wash a try and top that with some Optimum Spray Wax. Forunately, silver is a very forgiving color and wash time is dramatically reduced with the ONR wash. I assume you'll be washing it about once a week? For CA, when it's not raining or the car isn't excessively dirty, I think you'll find the ONR a great time saver.
