of course in the past few years the super exotics have really begun to creep in.

Jeez, what's going on here? Why's everyone being so nice?
Actually, It's great to see. I was so sick and tired of all the bashing that was going on. Pointless as far as I'm concerned.
B/T -- I love that car. I see GT's around Houston from time to time, and they always catch my eye. Congrats to you on picking up a great ride. Hope you really enjoy it.

so you could have got it for about $120k cash?
One huge advantage of this type of deal is that I only pay tax on the difference saving me about $8.5k overall.
that's because you already paid the tax on the porsche.
you didn't save a dime.
I'd be curious as to what the dealership is going to sell the P-car for but best beleive they'll make $10K one way or another.
huh? "best believe"? probably hoping to get $80k if their really lucky.
I would say overall I took about a $5k bath not incusive of shipping charges on this whole ordeal but I must say it was worth it.
slight understatement!
i learned a bit along the way and got a chance to own and drive one of the best cars out there.
but you had already owned two?
At 40 years of age, being my third 911, I finally felt as if I've outgrown the P.
how do you outgrow a car?
It's size and sporting character didnt mean as much to me now as I thought before I pulled the trigger.
all those few months ago?
I can post my driving impressions if theres any interest.
Folks can we all say "HATER" together. This is a guy angry and disgruntled at the fact that everything worked out well for me. If this isnt the purist example of the title I dont know what is.
ICON...Post me a link to any Bentley ad anywhere in print or on-line for a car with 3700 miles in ANY YEAR for $120K will you please.
Furthermore I traded my car for as much as I would expect on a private sale. As I said I got $100K for it. Did i stutter? Where did it get lost in your mind that I took a wholesale/retail hit? I got what I wanted, I paid what I wanted. You invented that yourself, sir. The savings is the difference in tax value at 8.5% or, in this case, $8500 is due to the fact that there is a trade involved as opposed to an out right sale.
Sorry to dissapoint you but it was a good deal for me. I truly appreciate all others that are being supportive. Some guys just cant seem to move on and want to **** all over even good news. I'll let him bathe in his own feces as I think I've outgrown him as well. His future petty commentary will be ignored as I should have done long ago.

Where did it get lost in your mind that I took a wholesale/retail hit?

dealers don't pay retail

that guy Icon searched the net...
couldnt find anything then he created phony a site to make his point seem valid. OK so now it was all just a meaningless joke.
Now he wants to "bury the hatchet"...
OK, Icon, lets bury the hatchet.

you don't have to call me icon.
car dealers don't advertise bottomline prices, you have to negotiate.
i hoped you would find the link at least a little funny?
that bentley really is a looker!
future best!

WoW Congrats...I must say. It is very very nice. My wife and I passed a black Bentely GT today on the way to pickup my new CPO 997. So I can understand the feeling.

black terra (or is it now silver/saffron): Very, very nice. Like the wheels and the Gemballa rear is distinctive and nice. As an older guy, I think the answer to your question is (a) it becomes more of a car that is nice rather than sick, and (b) try bikes at the track - definitely will feed the need for speed. Have fun.

well guys...off to catch a Vegas flight to pick her up
will have her in my paws at about midnight PST.
But first off to Bellagio or Wynn for some high stakes limit to offset the cost of this trip.
K40 or Valentine?
I plan to break a land speed record driving from Vegas to SF.
