Is the 3.8 the same engine as the 3.6 and just bored out to 3.8 or are there any significant differences?

The 3.8 litre displacement of the new 911CarreraS has been achieved on
the basis of the proven 3.6 litre engine by increasing the bore diameter from
3.78 in to 3.90 inwhile retaining the stroke of 3.26 in.

The 3.8 litre engine also has a completely redesigned intake system.
