You're not talking craftsmanship when you say "stitching jobs", right? You mean bad color coordination, right?

Ben understands. Poor choice of colors that just don't coordinate well. Porsche essentially gives you enough rope to hang yourself on configuring a car. Just be careful that you don't.

Doensn't full black leather come with a grey-ish stitching? Or did the car I see at the dealer with full black leather have some special color stitching?

It's more like a charcoal color meant to accentuate the stitching of the full leather option. Same with Stone Grey full leather. The stitching is a shade lighter and really makes the dark grey leather look elegant and luxurious.

I'm sure it's the same for all leather color choices in the full leather option.

I see that now, Ben, like on my own car. With the natural brown they chose a slightly lighter shade of thread.

My Dream car would be a gulf blue 997TT, black leather with gulf blue deviated stitching. I know it would get shot down by Porsche, if I had the fund to do it..

I'm sure any special orders like that will, but by how much is the real question. Maybe someone here who's ordered it can chime in.

My salesman told me that deviated stitching isn't orderable yet.

Yep!

Another reason why they don't try to hide the stitching by using the same exact shade for the thread as the leather is that they don't want to leave any doubt in the eye of the beholder that the leather and stitching are real and not fake.

My 300ZX had a molded foam rubber dash with molded faux stitching around the edges!
