Default Aero Kit Question

I'm lookinig for a lightly used Carrera S. I'd like to find one with the aero package if possible but they seem to few and far between. Is the aero package something you can purchase at the dealer? I'm really only interested in the wing that comes with the aero package? What about after market?

Thanks

The Aerokit Package is a Tequipment part (part # 997 044 802 00) offered by Porsche for the 997 so you should be able to add. If you ever get to the stage of ordering one, I'm only interested in the front end and not the wing. Porsche says they won't sell separately. Let me know - maybe we could split the cost.

I have the H&R springs for use w/ PASM. I am very happy with the appearance and "near stock" ride quality.

There are seperate p/n for the apron (bumper) alone and it should be orderable from the parts dept.

997.505.982.01 G2X (with Bi-Xenon) apron only.

You guys really don't want the front aero without the wing because they were engineered to work together. You'll upset the aerodynamics of the car by just getting the front, so don't do it.

I understand your thoughts though. I LOVE the front, but the rear wing is a bit much.

Email me if you want a PDF of the aerokit which explains the engineering details of why you can't have the front without the rear.

JW - in the current edition of Excellence Magazine (October) on page 68, Brandywine Porsche is offering the 997 Aero Kit for $4,999.00. FYI.

I really like the subtle rear spoiler of the Turbo when the car is at rest; I wish something similar was available for the normally aspirated cars. Obviously, retrofitting the active spoiler of the Turbo to a Carrera would be prohibitively expensive, but even a slightly exaggerated fixed version would be really nice.
