HARMAN/BECKER is the OEM of the PCM 2.1 in your Carrera.

Why do you ask??

Default Sirius Travel alerts

Sirius has a interface to with Alpine to give you updates on traffic and then offers to re-route you. I was hoping to be able to use that service.

Do you have TMC (traffic message channel) in the US? We have it here in th UK and it is part of the dynamic navigation package on my 2006 997. If Sirius has the capability then presumably Porsche can offer it too. Here is some more info on the European TMC:

Apparently we are supposed to have it in America. But I understand that it is presently limited to major cities. I can't give you any feedback on its efectiveness as I haven't used it here in the States yet. I certainly could swear by it while using it in Europe!
