Autospies opined that the early intro'd 2008's would get an additional 20 ponies.

I wasin Vegas for 4 years and just left 1.5 months ago and NEVER NEVER NEVER heard about that law nor did the dealer mention, nor did the traffic cop that pulled me over for no front plate, nor does it make sense that 911's are exempt. That is a law (if in fact true) that those marque's not on the list will challenge if they get busted. Can't make is illegal for some and legal for others. Doesn't make sense. I smell bs but would love to be proven wrong.

I love my new state....NORTH CAROLINA!!! No front plates here. Time to give Eric a call for my plugs

Sorry....and to at least comment to the thread title. I find it hilarious that y'all are freakin out so much (not everybody, but some) about the impending facelift. In the 996 world we got the facelift after 3 model years of the fried egg (99-01) with the introduction of the 02+ 996 (an even the 01TT). Now that was more drastic than anything. Between the HP boost and the drastic change in the lights is something I would call drastic. I don't see "drastic" with the impending 997 facelift.

So I assume the new GT3 that is starting production shortly is already going to be outdated facelift-wise?

bracket, device or other contrivance to display and secure a front
license plate, and if the manufacturer of the motor vehicle
provided no other means or method by which a front license plate

may be displayed upon and secured to the motor vehicle

Laterst word (from another reliable forum) is that this is likely a 2009 model and the vehicles seen are testing a retractable front lip spoiler.

Is that a rear reflector strip (that everyone seemed to love so much on the C4S) taped over in the picture of the cab ?
Looks like the bottom edges of the lights now line up with the edge of the engine lid so this "could" be possible ?

I still maintain that these changes won't show up until maybe 2009. Porsche will keep us distracted with the Panamera in 08.
