Default Trip information in OBC vs. PCM

I've read the manual, but I still don't have a good idea what the correlation is between the trip information stored on the On-board Computer vs. PCM. I'm assuming that the OBC information is reset via the menu in the center gauge. Is the trip information in the PCM totally independent from the OBC trip information. Does the PCM reset command reset all three types of trip information simultaneously (continuous, since hh:mm, and <the third type whose name I can't remember right now>)?

Thanks,
Anthony

PCM trip info (continuous, since, OBC) reset is global for all perameters.

In the OBC you can reset indivdual perameters ( (av speed, mpg, distance)

When I performed reset from the PCM, my trip odometer at the bottom of the speedo gauge didn't clear. I thought it did the time before. Is there a difference in the meaning of the command with the ignition on or off?

You must select OBC from the PCM display then select Reset and the trip computer will reset.

Never tried it with ignition off
