Heading to Detroit Friday to pick up a 993 with friend...
Taking the 911 up to Detroit from the DC area so my friend can pick up his 993 911 4S in Guards Red.
Excited - first road trip in the 997, from the pictures my friends car looks great - should be a blast coming back home with both cars!!!

Wow - sounds like a nice trip. I'm actually just west of Detroit in Ann Arbor for business until tomorrow afternoon. If you happen to get a chance, they are apparently having some sort of local car show downtown near the campus. I'm going to go check it out during lunch.

I’m back with no tickets or damage on my first real road trip with the 997 to pick-up a friends new 993. From Washington, DC to Detroit, Michigan. We had rain (thunder storms and heavy water standing on the freeway) on Friday's drive on the way up - NO PROBLEM!!! 
Departed Detroit at 11:00 am on Saturday morning and arrived back home in Olney in time for dinner at 7:00 pm - NO PROBLEM!!! 
The car was GREAT and the Adaptive Sport Seats very comfortable both days with zero issues. My Valentine V1 seems to have been quicker on the drawl then my friends Bel RX65 model.
