Default Club Coupe Value's

Has anyone heard of these cars changing hands? At what types of prices? I really don't think they are worth anymore than any other 2006 Carrera and will depreciate the same. I would be interested but not at a premium to sticker.

Thoughts?

I'm guessing that they ultimately won't command a greater premium than any other X51 car. Cars just aren't great investments.

I would like to hear thoughts on this too. I am thinking of selling either my Club Coupe or my GT2 stage 4.

The Club Coupes are beautiful cars, but it's just an appearance package; over time they will not be worth any more than a 'regular' Carrera S with similar options and in similar condition. Note values of 'special edition' 911s dating back to the 1980s (911SC Weissach, various 'anniversary' editions, etc.).

Truly limited models with real performance enhancements are a different story (1989 Club Sports, 1993-94 RSAs, 1992 US Cup cars, Turbo S models, etc.).

I would like to get one just for the color but people are asking $150K for them. That's insane.

They stickered for $99,xxx plus options but received the x-51 for free. So are they worth sticker or sticker plus x-51?

Ahhhh, Alan? Isn't there a 15,000 USD X51 package in the Club Coupe?

Or, are you making the point that you can get an X51 in a "regular" 911?

Yes, that was my point when I said "similar options". The only Club Coupe features not available on a 'regular' Carrera S are the exterior paint and numbered plaque.

I would suspect that there would a minor premium on Club Coupes due to its rare color combo especially if it was rarely if ever driven or had some other extrinsic condition (car No.1 (in a museum), famous owner etc.). As you may recall, porsche also had a 40th aniversary edition of the 996. Although, they made significantly more of them than Club Coupes, the ones I've seen for sale have been in line with similarly equiped 996s.

I think that's right on the money.
The CC is definitely a sharp looking 997 and will likely command a small premium wrt other X51s. Given its relative uniqueness it will also likely be 'easier' to find a buyer who will fall in love with it.

I suspect you can order a paint to sample car in a color darn close to the club coupe blue and essentially build yourself one. Thus, the real ones are just not going command any real premium. Plus, people will know exactly what you paid for it,--$99,911. (Isn't THAT amazing!)

I would strike while the going is good and dump the CC and keep the GT2, Loliver. Which do YOU think is rarer?!

They are worth the same as a 997S with the exact same options to include X-51 package, special paint, etc.

Being a Club Coupe might make it eaiser to sell - but I won't know since I will have mine till death

I'll keep number 2 of 50 until it dies or I do--so I'm with you John.

That said, I got an email from Howard Graff in London who said his dealer could order Azurro California Blue on his 07 997 Turbo as a paint to sample color. So we got a one year exclusivity on the color, which I pretty much expected.

Paul - ask your friend if they are still calling it "Azurro California"? When I was at the plant I was told they would "paint to sample" Azurro Calif" but it would not be called the same - just "paint to sample"...

Not that it really matters...
