I dropped off the car on the 3rd, and flew back on the 4th of July. I really didn't find the need to see what the car would do as over in Europe you seem to have so many opportunities to run it up that you just don't really make a special point to do it. Returning from Basel on Friday night we had light traffic and I was running it up several times to the 150 range rather quickly. I went a bit over 160 one time that evening. Fortunately, the sun didn't go down until after 9 pm at this time of the year there. It gets up there rather fast. I would take it to redline in 2, 3, 4, and 5 and then run it up a bit into 6th. Great trany and great engine. Not a narrow performance band like the older air-cooled cars. It pulled much stronger than my old 3.0 liter based turbo.

Guys... why don't you give the PCA driver education program a try... a same way to get up in the 150 mph range on the bigger tracks.

After waiting 9 months to get the car in Europe another 6 weeks will seem like a drop in the bucket,--and besides, I still haven't gotten around to prepping the garage yet! (That will take a LOT of effort!)
