Default C4S vs RS4 - latest R&T

The latest R&T has a comparison between the C4S and RS4. I had also considered the new RS4 when I ordered my C4S as I had really liked the quality of my old Audi TT. The RS4 is really fast,...almost identical times in acceleration vs the C4S - so, if you find yourself in a race, go for the 155-mph governed speed against the Audi!
Enjoy!

Thanks for posting! I just got my RS4. I think it the perfect companion to the 993TT.

A nice comparison. I see they got a 4.1 0 to 60 out of the C4S.

Whoohoo - your the man Dave - thanks for posting this!

Both great cars, but I see them as appealing to people with different intentions.

Default RS4

I have a 997S with X51 and thought it would be nice to have a 4 door as well.
The RS4 was my choice. It is a blast to drive, fast and a nice V8 growl. Not as tight as the 911 (the 911 is more like a go cart, the RS4 reminds me of my last M5 with lighter tighter handling).
Anyone considering the RS4 would love it for all of its performance without sacrifice, the ability to tweek it (exhaust and intake on the way), and the exterior, interior and mechanicals are very high quality similar to the Porsche.
... and if you want a nice smaller version try the new GTi, similar in quality and fun... just not the power.
I can't wait to read the article!

Does anyone else find the RS4, how shall I put this so as not to be offensive, not exactly the prettier sister?

the RS4 does lack some sex appeal... only when you compare it to a 997 though... it's a great looking sedan but for that kind of $$$ I would want audi to visually differentiate it from a common A4.

FL Porsche, how does it compare in acceleration to your X51-997 ?

The Audi "nose" has to be one or the ugliest I have seen on an upscale car in years. WTF were they thinking?

I've seen an RS4 in the flesh and there is no question that it is different from the everyday A4. It's strange, but the pictures certainly do not do it justice. When you walk up to one in person, it is quite muscular and leaves no doubt as to its intentions.

I am seriously considering replacing my '01 A6 with this new RS4. A great looking car!

The audi front looks much better in red or blue.

I have the exact same combination, and had an M5 (2002). I echo these comments, except instead of the GTI, I'd say R32.

As always there are horses for courses. But, if you you need the extra "edge" of the Porsche then you want the RWD. Why..more edge!
