Default Pardon my tendency to gawk.

I saw a black 997 Carrera today. I smiled and waved at the driver because even though I don't have a Porsche yet, thanks to all you friendly Rennlisters, my first response is to be friendly to Porsche drivers. He probably knew I was gawking at his car. If you're here, please pardon my gawking, I was smitten by your beautiful car.

Lori, if you're wavering don't. The 997 is a fantastic car. It is a true joy to drive. On the track it is fantastic. The brakes are great. The power is great. Hell, the A/C is great. If you want one, buy one. You really won't regret it. If you're going to track it a lot maybe buy a GT3. If not, the 997, or 997S is phenomenally more car than you can possibly use on the street. Sure there are small things that I personally don't like but overall the thing continues to amaze me.

Haha, especially someone who has a white fluffy cat. He actually did wave back. I hope his wife/GF didn't think I was being cute.

I'm just a bit apprehensive about placeing an order. I have some anxiety about makeing the right choice. The more I learn here, the more my preferences stabilize. I doubt I'll see the track much if ever but it would be fun to give it a try sometime.

You know apparently if you agnoize over a big purchase, worth a few hundred dollars or so, typically in 6 months if you ask someone who made the decision a snap one of they're happy with it, they'll say yes, they are, wheras someone who's sat on it worrying about it too long will be like "well actually..."
seriously.
Typically the best thing to do, is to sit down, think about it, have a coffee, make your choice, then go for it.
Although the example they had on daily planet was talking more specificallly about couches for their example
