Default Steering wheel wobble

I now have 2000 miles on my car. Around 1500 miles I noticed there was a wobble in the steering wheel when the car is "cold". After driving for several minutes the wobble seems to be greatly diminshed. Has anyone else experinced this? Thanks.

I get it on some mornings. I thought it was just flat spots in the tires

I'm sure it's flat spots from hot tires cooling off. To minimise the effect I leave the car for an hour or so after a run, then roll it forward a couple of feet so its sitting on a new 'cold' part of the tire. Mine was delivered in March with P-Zeros; somewhere on this forum I've seen the same topic a few weeks back with these tires. Spring is here in the UK; perfect Carrera S weather!

I've noticed flat spots are minimized if I park with the front wheels pointed straight ahead.

Good tip for those of us who have curved garages.

JFS: I've never experienced steering wheel wobble with flat-spotted tires; just a somewhat bumpy ride until the flat spots straighten out. Your wobble may be due to something else, such as a front wheel/tire not in proper balance.

Modt definitely the tires have taken a set while sitting.. I get that every now and then...not to worry

You have to get out and drive the car more
