Steering wheel wobble

Steering wheel wobble
I now have 2000 miles on my car. Around 1500 miles I noticed there was a wobble in the steering wheel when the car is "cold". After driving for several minutes the wobble seems to be greatly diminshed. Has anyone else experinced this? Thanks.

I'm sure it's flat spots from hot tires cooling off. To minimise the effect I leave the car for an hour or so after a run, then roll it forward a couple of feet so its sitting on a new 'cold' part of the tire. Mine was delivered in March with P-Zeros; somewhere on this forum I've seen the same topic a few weeks back with these tires. Spring is here in the UK; perfect Carrera S weather!

Good tip for those of us who have curved garages.
JFS: I've never experienced steering wheel wobble with flat-spotted tires; just a somewhat bumpy ride until the flat spots straighten out. Your wobble may be due to something else, such as a front wheel/tire not in proper balance.

You have to get out and drive the car more
