Despite the inclement weather later in the day the Connecticut Vallery Porsche Club was still able to hold its concours event early this morning. It was a fantastic day meeting people who came as far as Quebec, Canada, and Maine to participate. Although I participated in the People's Choice, I had a first opportunity to fully observe the intensity of a fully judged concours event. Let me just say that you have to do your home work. For now the People's Choice fills my need in which I finished first in my category. I will have to try a Full Concours next time out just for the heck of it. My car looked great, being one year old this coming weekend. I have to say that in a years time I still love my first Porsche as much as the day when I first picked it up. Here are some pics as I promised from the morning of fun. Hopefully this bad weather in the North East will subside for Memorial Day Weekend. Take Care and happy driving.

Sorry for the one 356 not coming out well. Here is a repost. By the way the Baby Blue Continental won the overall best car of the day award. It truly looked superb.

Congratulations Jay! ![Cheers](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif)
I know what you mean by the intense judging scrutiny at these events. Even for Street Division, the prep can take up to 2 weeks to get the car just right. It's actually a lot of fun scheduling out every little aspect of preparation. Of course the down side is that you can't drive your car during the prep phase.
Glad you enjoyed it. Your car looks absolutely fabulous!

I'll take one of the reds and the light blue!
Yea, everytime I go to a Porsche Concours I am humbled at the condition of the older cars. They literally look like they just came off the assebly line.

Nice pics Jay!
Also, nice to met up with you that day!
Too bad I got to the show late, but it sure was nice to see such a wide selection of Porsche cars. And there were many to choose from.
One funny note, as soon as the rain drops started, it was like turning on the lights and watching cockroaches take-off! We all took off as soon as the rain started!
For the short time I was there, got several people liking my new C2S.
A full concours is very tuff to win and it takes someone who is **** and very detailed abouth the entire aspect of the guide to judging each event. It takes a good long time to prep for it.
Everyone should try to attend one of these shows.

Deanski
