Default what's the width of my wheels?

Does anyone know the width of the front and rear wheels on my 06 997, they are OEM 19" Carrera S wheels on a non S Carrera. Thanks for your help.

Bob,--The Carrera S wheels are 19 diameter with 8 inch widths in front, 11 inch in the rear.

Thanks Dan, I'm looking at Carrera Sport wheels, I'm assuming I should stay with the same width as OEM.

The Sport wheels are 8.5 (F) and 11.5 (R) - since they're listed as an option, I wouldn't think the extra .5 will cause any problems.

(Those are the XRR option wheels)...rear tires go up from 295s to 305s.

I've seen them with 295's - no problems.

Bob - just make sure you ge thte correct offset for your car. Now that the wide body C4S has come out, the wheel offset for the wide body will NOT fit correctly on a narrow body.

You ought to double check with the wheel experts at a place like Wheelenhancement.com. I think the XRR only come in one offset (55 F and 67 R) and you use a 17mm spacer if you mount on the C4 or C4S.

There are numbers located on either side of the valve stem.
One is wheel width
One is wheel offset

Now you know what they mean

My local P-dealer had a used C2S in their inventory, that had one rear wheel from a C4S. It stuck out just a little bit from under the fender. Though it was a huge difference from the other side. Look like the hole rear end of the car was out of whack.

I normally run XRR's with rear 305's but just fitted up Michelin Sport Cup semi-slicks (305 at rear) on a set of "lobsters" (centres painted in black semi-gloss) .........Porsche mistakenly gave me the C4 rears i.e. ET51 offset ............sits at the very edge of the body .......... VERY AGGRESSIVE LOOK .......but will swap back to the ET67 offset they should've supplied & use a 7mm spacer
