Funny you mention that! I will be heading through the canyon tomorow morning for a weekend at the track out in Pahrump (1 hr away). I can't tell you how much I look forward to my track event to exercise the car

There usually not many cops in the canyon but there are ALOT of bicycle riders thinking it is the tour de france and just clog up the roadways.

damn bicyclist!
they think they should be able to ride on a road just like a car!
that must be a new thing. i dont think i ever saw any the times ive been.
we have a nice skinny twisty mountainous road not to far from my home and their will be bicycles on there AT NIGHT! w/o any lights!
i'm talking a skinny road where one slip they could be rolling down a mountain.
i like to ride road bikes too but they need to do a better job of staying out of the way of cars.
and NOT riding after dark!

I keep my bike riding to the trails in our community. I have to tell you, it is quite scary becasue there are ALOT of them and if you drift at all you can easily hit one of them. And yes, it has happened several times......mostly drunks and tired drivers.

Jeff........yes the traffic is absolutely HORRIBLE here!!! Looking forward to my new home
Where are you moving to?

I've been thinking of somewhere else as well, but don't know where. I could always back to CA, but it's more crowded than here.

You all are welcome in beautiful Dune Acres, Indiana population 240 with 8 Porsches in town (2 are mine). 75 minutes to nearest race track, which is open 5 evenings a week for $50/driver (no tech inspection). Major deterrent to speeding is large deer population. AS

Robbonds, keep us posted on the gtech thing,...I thought about getting one in my last car when I was modding to check performance between chip setting differences. There was an article about 1-2 years ago (Motor Trend?) which tested a variety of accelerometers varying in price from a few hundred to few thousand dollars. IIRC the gtech pro was nearly as accurate as the 'professional' devices sold to auto testers.

Jeff,
I've never seen more than a dozen cars at Gingerman for the evening track time. If you make it up here in the summer, we can try a variety of race cars, or drift the Kurtis- tho it may be away for about 60 days for detuning. AS

For anyone interested, it was actually the May 05 C&D.

My car will not be delvered until the end of the month.

I will however be in Pahrump this morning to meet the people from the club and watch the racing.

I will try and find you to introduce myself. I will be wearing a Notre Dame Cap.
