Default Looking for SY w/black wheels pictures

We're getting ready to place our order and I'm considering black wheels w/chrome lip to go on a SY 997 C2S. I'm not normally a person who likes black wheels, but I have seen them on a yellow 996 or 997 here somewhere and liked it. Can someone please help me find pictures of this combo?

I tried various searches ( no luck) and just can't remember the thread where I saw them.

I believe you're thinking of FlyingLow's car.

That's it - good memory Ben! I love this look. I'm ordering SY and I'm considering something similar.

Hey, is Flyinglow's car lowered? Looks like it, and it looks good, too.

Maybe some type of "Guest-Troll" program could be implemented.... pay a hefty $$ fine to Rennlist, learn respectful lingo --
-- it's not amnesty

gravedig- here's a C2S full dressed w/aerokit.... just in case state trooper missed you the first time.

OR...see what you think of these>> imho is a really well done effect: S wheels painted an Atlas grey color (I emailed
the dealer who finished this car in Puebla Mexico --
wheels were simply painted in their body shop using 'arbitrary titanium' paint)

Hey Paul, no amnesty allowed, unless they pay the $5k reinstatement fee.

If you track the car, being able to see the brake dust (or lack of it on a particular wheel) probably is a good reason to either get the standard silver rims or a second set if you gotta have black.

Awesome - thanks for the pics, stan! I'm not feeling the titanium-colored wheels. I think that the only thing that's selling me on the first set is the black is glossy, so it goes well with the chrome lip and shiny paint. FWIW, I don't like black wheels on ANY car that is not lightly/brightly colored (white and yellow seem the best). No offense to anyone who has them.

To me it looks like the wheels are muddy, or filthy. But that's just me.

gravedgr- yeah, the gloss black really creates a glow on the polished edge.

changed back your icon Ben-- as it should be, the wry sarcastic voice in my head emanating from that avatar is as good as any vocal synthesis program.

Couple more Dennis Miller riffs:

The set-up: Vice-president Dick Cheney.

The quip: "Cheney's like 'Sanford and Son' with the heart attacks -- he doesn't care, he's just walking through them."
________________

The set-up: Former Denver offensive line coach Alex Gibbs' policy of not allowing his players to talk to the press.

The quip: "Will that continue now that he's gone? Methinks it might. I was studying the depth chart tonight and
I see the starting left tackle for the Denver Broncos is none other than California representative Gary Condit."
________________

The set-up: A bald fan in the stands.

The quip: I'm figuring that head's running a 13 on the Stimpmeter.

The read: To the device used to measure the speed of golf greens.
Edward Stimpson's 1936 invention uses a small ramp to roll a golf ball across the green ....

The Stimpmeter??? ... I'm guessing maybe 2 people knew that reference out of 10 million viewers. LOL

Yeah, if only I could be half as witty as he.
