Default Not Enough TIme

Don't seem to have enough time to go out and drive my new pride and joy. Wish I was already retired like some of the elders on Rennlist, but alas I'm still just a lad. LOL

Anyway, Looking to play some hooky and I'd really like to know which roads I can get the most out of in South Florida??? Looking for nice twisties and such that I can truly get in some quality time. Tired of the mundane commutes.

Thanks in advance.

Central Florida seems like the best bet. Wish I could help more. Good luck

Since moving to Tampa I drove the 997 to Miami once, the most fun I've had in this state so far is that "alligator Ally" (I forgot the # of the freeway, it's in So FL.). Clearly not the twisties but one of the few chances I have had to get to 6th gear...

I have been looking for those twisties too. The only thing around here is
wall-to-wall traffic.

Twisties and Florida is an oxymoron.

Yeah, Central Fl and the Northern part has some nice roads, but too far for an afternoon drive. Thanks, though.

Alligator Alley is a sweet place to open up the 997. That's how I brought her home from Sarasota.

Agreed... That's the reason for the post.

Card Sound Road rather than US1 From Hometead to Key Largo. Worth the $1.00 toll
if the traffic is light. Bring your radar detector.

i hauled motorcycles to longboat key a couple times to ride on vacation.
what a waste!
nothing but flat, hot, straight roads!
you need to find a track you can frequent!

Exactly! There are a couple of neighborhoods that have nice winding roads, but then the speed limit is 30-35MPH.

The Keys are boring to drive, unless in a caravan of bikes, etc. CArd SOund is a bit better, but still not much fun other than the tall bridge.

Signing up for a DE at Homestead. I'm still hoping to find a nice industrial park or such that I can go during off hours and test my PASM. My neighbors are starting to look at me funny since I have a great double winding road coming into my block.

This is in NorCal, isn't it? I've seen this picture before and have wondered what it would be like to go down on a nice sport bike... without the traffic, of course.
