(Chris Sanner) ...I work for Bernie! Bernie's philosphy is that the car looks better in your drive way...not his...so why not make it possible to put it in your drive way.
Bernie rocks.
For some reason, I can't PM you.
anyways,
I'm in the martket for a 997 S and I live in southern CA.
I'm looking for at least 5% discount on 07 997 S with nav, boss, chrono, power seat, dimming mirrors, heated seat on basalt black on black.
Let me know if its doable.

Margins are higher on options, so dealers will deal more on a loaded car. From memory most people reported discounts in the 5-7% range depending on location, although some dealers aren't as accommodating on ordered cars.

I have been told by many dealers that there is a 2% holdback.
It's actually 'market support' ie; reimbursment for advertising. And that 2% number isn't a guarantee. Also noteable is that it varies from dealer to dealer, thus at times it's difficult to obtain or 'swap' a car from another dealer being that EACH and EVERY car's 'support' varies depending on region, car, MY, and if PCNA is even doing that that particular month. You'll typically see this on MY06 cars and SUV's. Not on 07's.
Have to agree about Bernie at Porsche of North Olmsted. Best deal around the Midwest (by far!). Helping my father pick up his 997 this weekend in fact, and Bernie even went as far as setting up a VIP tour at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. From what I see in dollars off/ percentage off, I think he could beat about all of the deals mentioned. I'll let you know how the delivery goes this weekend.
I bought mine off the lot, 997s Cab..list 110k bought for 102.5K. I got my price from a leasing agent who told me he could get the car for 102. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known what to offer for the car.
