Have I Completely Lost It?
In anticiption of my new arrival next month, I have been doing the following:
1. Started reading the manual
2. Odered a Valentine 1
3. Ordered a Britax Starriser for my little one
4. Getting ready to start the sales process for my SC430
5. Checked to make sure there is an ample supply of Zaino
6. Looking into what tools to buy for doing my own oil changes
7. Trying to find an outfit out here in So. NV that does good window tinting
8. Reading Rennlist religiously
9. Wondering if I should ordered different options or not ordered some
10. Figuring out drive or ship it back
Have I missed anything, or am I too far gone?

I bought clear side markers, chrome tips from the dealer that sells at 15% over cost; made list of all things I need from dealer (like touch up paint). Unfortunately it's May build, so most likely have to wait 3 more months....

Ah yes...touch-up paint. How could I forget?
Thanks, and added to the list.
As far as clear side markers, I DID A SEARCH and read all sorts of references. I can't for the life of me figure out where they are on the car and what they are. Yet, people seeing pics of the cars know right away if it has clear side markers??
Please advise something about them.

Thanks, ITS.
Hopped on Suncoast's web site and ordered a lot of what I wanted to get.....
...and I now understand what clear side markers are. I ordered them as well.

I went to both websites and....
It looks like at Suncoast you get a pair for $29.95 whereas at Parkplace you have to order each side at $25.99 ea....
Then on ebay Suncoast has this ad

Can this be right?

BTW, one of the cheapest sources for any Porsche part is Sunset Imports (cost + 15%)
http://www.sunsetimports.com/porscheatcost.php
They can get just about anything from US or Germany; they'll find it. Excellent customer service, just fill out this form and they normally reply within 24 hours:

Longtime Sunset parts customer...just ask my wife and/or American Express.

I don't like my self dimming mirrors at all. Makes it too hard to see what is behind you in dusk conditions, like if johnny law is lurking behind you in traffic.
Sport Crono, initially loved it, but I find the artifically accelerated throttle tip-in to be a gimmick and makes fine throttle adjustments a challenge
TPMS, I don't have. Love the idea of it but others have said its finnicky.
Park assist, maybe no needed in a car of this size?
Power seats: I have adaptives and think they are a waste. I'd likely think the same of power seats.
Bose sounds terrible, just less terrible than the standard setup. This car really needs a good aftermarket setup. My wifes HK system in the Lexus if worlds better.
I wish I got the fat steering wheel.
edit: the ceramics are freaking awesome, though big dollas

One other suggestion for spending your money:
http://www.bumperplugs.com/products.html (Eric, rennlist sponsor and great guy).
Bumperplugs are almost a required mod, along with door plugs.
He can also supply you with a silver hood crest (and thanks to PCNA's lawyers, they're getting harder to find). I have a silver hood crest on my Lapis Blue 996TT and had one on my Midnight Blue RSAmerica; the silver looks very nice against the blue, compared to the standard gold crest IMHO.
Eric painted the rear bumperettes on the 996TT (still no idea why PAG insists on delivering the 996TT with black unpainted bumperettes) and he provided me with an OEM non smoker's kit (replaces the ashtray in the center console with an open storage compartment) which he painted Lapis Blue to match the OEM painted center console.
As always, a perfect paint match.

In and ideal world: PASM + extended PSM limits + no stupid accelerated throttle mapping.
