I also have the P-Zero's on my new C2S that arrived at dock on 4/2/06.

No idea on how well these will hold out.

Regards,

I keep mine parked on "Tire Cradles" to prevent flat spotting, which has been discussed in previous posts.. Car is only driven on weekends, and the cradles really work.

$344 for 4 pieces of plastic! YIKES!
Don't flat spots resolve on their own after a few miles anyway?

Grip of the Pirellis is fine for a street tire, and wear is ordinary. Cold weather grip, and tractionin slush is actually pretty good. BUT, the Pirelli is subject to belt shift when driven hard. This problem is not only hard to diagnose, it requires replacement of all the tires. I wouldn't buy them to put on the car, and would look forward to replacing them if they came on the car.
The Pirelli snow is excellent (but doesn't get driven hard).
All Porsche tires flat spot. It can take as much as 10 miles to clear up. AS

So far I've only put about 70 miles on my P-Zeros, but as far as I can tell they stick like fly paper! However, my car will be sitting for long periods of time while I go earn the money to pay for it over the next few months. Tell me more about these "tire cradles", please. Don't want flat spots!

Come on, Ben, you're missing out on this?

Sorry, couldn't resist

I really don't know why you are confused! As I stated in from my original post, "I went through 2-1/2 sets (long story) of rear tires in 23,000 miles."

5 rear tires in 23,000 miles. Original tires (set 1), replacement for the original set (set 2) replacement for road hazzard (1 tire or 1/2 set).

I then replaced all 4 tires at 23,000 miles.

Dr. Stemer,
For what's it's worth, the turbo came equipped with N3 P-Zero Asimetricos while the 997's have an N4 P-Zero Rosso. Night and day difference between the two. The newer Rossos are a significant improvement. Wear is abyssmal as to be expected with this type of rubber compound.

Irish,
Tire cradles are a small ramp made of a dampning compoud that will keep your tires from flat spotting while parked. A must for any car that sits for even a week at a time. check out tirecradle.com
