almost forgot -- it also has bose..

The guy says it had a $110 MSRP -- WITHOUT any Porsche Exclusive options or carbon fiber/wood stuff----I'm not sure if that's even possible!

so $15K off that for an 8k mile 06 997 would be about 95K?'...do you think that's a bit high in light of that fact that you can get a (not so well optioned, mind you), but bose / nav htd seats manual for mid 90's MSRP--NEW?

Hmmmm..

MSRP added up to about $103,000,--being used, I would consider knocking about 12K off.

I think that either you don't have the full option list, or the guy is BS'ing with the MRSP being 110K. If that car has full leather as well, the MRSP could be 108-109K. Given that a new car could be had for about (6-7%), off MRSP then a car with 8000 miles should be another7-8K off as well. Asking a minimum of 14000 off MRSP is what I would suggest (as other have mentioned above).

What dealership is that..and do you recall roughly the mileage on that one?

My bad....I just got the official option list on the car -- I missed 3 options -- Adaptive Sport Seats, Full Leather, and sport shifter...

Would 14-22ish % off would still be the norm on this car-- or would it likely depreciate faster because it has SO many options...

I don't really want the adaptive full leather or sports seats....I guess what I mean is if they're free I'll take em but If I'm paying huge bucks for them -- not that interested in.. I guess these are just options I don't value a whole lot..I could be proven wrong though if we end up getting a deal done on it...

My understanding about options are that most of them do NOT bring back money when sold years latter (verify with 996 owners), but certain options will enhanse the sale of the vehicle (the options depreciate much faster than the car). If the car has 20K in options (MRSP), then in 4 years the options are likely going to be worth much less than 50% (perhaps 5-7K) over the base. I may be wrong here, but looking at used 996's the spread between base and optioned is not much, though most people will want an optioned car. Most of us like the full leather and it certainly does justice to the car (meaning that the car should come standard with full leather) as it is goergeous.
