Default Porsche Model

I have a smll scale model for my prior C5 and current SC430. Both are displayed on my fireplace mantle. The latter is made by Maisto and the former was given to me when I purchased the vehicle.

Does anyone know of a company that produces a decent selection of model P-Cars...high quality with selection.

I ordererd a Midnight Blue 997S CAB, and would like to come as close as possible to this.

Default here you go

Here are two good sources of Porsche model cars:
http://shop21.porsche.com/usa/dept.a...22FA400BFC509E

and

http://www.idcow.com/porsche.html

Maisto is a low to mid end die cast maker, Auto Art is considerably more detailed but more pricey. I have a silver 997 1/18 scale diecast by AutoArt that is pretty nicely done.

Check out:

- Scale 18 @ http://www.scale18.com/cgi-bin/page/diecast.html

Both are very good guys and P car owners.

AutoArt and Kyosho make better quality models than Maisto. If you're into racing cars then Minichamps/Paul's Model Art and Exoto are both good quality choices.

I've bought about 95% of my 230 car 1/18 scale collection from Greg @ www.designsinm.com (Designs In Motion - St. Louis, MO). If you are local,go check out the store - it's a great place to spend an afternoon! If you aren't local, check out the website - it's cool too!

I've been buying from Greg for about 8 years. Only last fall did I actually meet him while driving through St. Louis. Of course we did some shopping when we stopped into his store.

It IS a great place to spend an afternoon.

For those older and harder to find models, I found EBay to be a great source for my Porsche/Mercedes collection.
