Hello all. This is my first post. Very nice group of people here.

On Wednesday, I took delivery of a new C2S here in New York. . (After taking the 2-day PDE, resistance was futile.) I have a little time off, so I'm going to drive down to Charlotte, NC next week. I have two full days to get down there, so no rush.

Any favorite roads on the East Coast where you all have had great drives?

Also, any experiences (good or bad) for longer trips with a new machine? I'll have around 300miles on the car when I set out.

Thanks, Andy

If you want a scenic ride from NYC , I suggest I-78 thru NJ into Pa.
then go south to West Virginia and take the Blue Ridge Mt. Skyway south .

Congratulations

The best way to break-in your car - a road trip!
Did long haul runs in both my 996 & 997 for break-in, no problems what so ever.

Being from the West coast and not familiar with your roads, I would make it a point to drive Blue Ridge Parkway and/or Skyline Drive. (on my list of roads to travel!).

Glad to hear that you attended PDE! Guess you had fun!
Before too much time elapses...do sign-up and attend the "Masters".

Happy Motoring

Yep, blue ridge parkway to the west. can be a bit slow going in some spots, but beautiful.
Or through Maryland's eastern shore and take the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel to Virginia. that's unique and pretty scenic too.

I live 15 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, it's awesome! I have to say you'll regret not seeing it and driving on it if you'll be that close and have the time. Be glad to help you with directions or whatever, just ask.

Thanks all. I put 120 miles on the car yesterday -- feels better every mile. Looks like the weather should be good later next week. Can't wait.

Thanks again.

He won't have to worry about pot holes here in Charlotte. We don't get them to often.
