Default Used 997 Prices

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I was wanting to get expert opinion. My search for a used 996 has lead me to the used 997 doorstep. The more I read your posts the more I think that that is the right direction. What do you think I should expect to pay for a low milage 2005 997 c2, with very light options; from a dealer or PP? Edmunds and KBB have very different numbers. Any other buying advise you can give would be great, as this is my first Porsche. Thanks, in advance.

I have also been looking for a used 997 and the "right" price appears to be between $65K and 70k with a CPO,

I shopped for months, expect to pay mid to upper 60's for lower optioned Carrera with under 10k miles.

Thanks guys.

Bob-what do you think of the chrono? That is one of the top options on my list.

Honestly, I haven't played with it yet. My initial feeling is I can live without it, but I'll try it and see if it has value for me.

Sometimes good deals can be found on cars that were traded in at non Porsche dealerships. (i.e. someone who trades a Porsche in at an Audi or Mercedes Dealership)

Check www.autotrader.com as well as ebay.

Bob-have you played with it yet?

Triple-how about carmax (lol). I saw one (996) on the internet a few weeks ago.

I've found two in the mid 60's. One with chrono, but higher miles. what say you?
