Aerokit or not

The "beautified" rounded, aerodynamically embellished smaller wings on a 997 Aerokit are NOT meant exclusively for the track. They are styled for either poser looks on the USA street OR for daily use "stylish though functional" use on the Autobahn.

FYI.....the Autobahn isn't what it used to be. Traffic all over the place. How many German P-Cars actually (1) have the wing and (2) use it in the manner you suggest? I'd be willing to be <1%.

Personally, I'm not crazy about most of the wings out there - purely from an aesthetics point of view. I really like the variable rear spoiler on the base 997s and the 'subtler' wing on the 997TT. I feel like a true wing is like an invitation for every POS out there to wanna to race your car,...and a cop black hole.

997 Aerokit - I have come to like the front of the 997 Aerokit, but I still haven't warmed up very much to looks of the wing. I think the 997 GT3 wing is much better looking that the Aerokit wing. I guess for me on thing that is would help the Aerokit package would be the addition of side skirts (rocker panels for those of you that are insecure in your masculinity
). However, I have not seen OEM side skirts for a 997, so I am not sure if they would actually enhance the look of the Aerokit or not.
Also, are you considering getting the X51 package? If not, are you concerned that 355 hp will be "disappointing" after having an '05 Turbo? Just a thought! Whatever options you decide to order, I am sure that the car will be awesome.

I have the areokit coming on my ordered C2S. I love the look, but I like it because it looks different then the norm 997 and I like that standout look. I know that most here don't care for it ,but it's my P-car. I ordered my car with the kit before I saw the GT3, so I don't feel like I'm trying to make it something else. It funny how many in the 997 forum hate it but in the GT3 forum love it.... Deanski, thats a beautiful car. Congratulations..

Dealer and everyone who've seen it love the darn thing and think this will be a sick car out on the street! I have to agree.
I should have her by Friday, right before Easter weekend so the in-laws and neighbors can all drool!
They want to make sure I park it in the center of the driveway so all the neighbors can see. Bunch of "Stepford Wifes" up there!I also had to get another fresh CD of Sammy Hagar VOA so I can play when I leave the dealer: "I can't drive...55!"
Order your "P" car the way you want it, who cares what some others see it as! That's what I did and I'm happy as all hell!
Regards,
Deanski

Well I drove the Cs with the kit before ordering mine. The spoiler obstructed the rearview and unless you hit the track and go for 130mph cruises all the time, I doubt any of the downforce benefits will do any good.
Esthetically, I think it ruins the lines of the car. If anything, I'd spend the money on other options like wheels or even sports chrono plus.
