Yes, it is on the passenger side and it is buried by the air intake (from what I've heard) on X51's.

Here's the last thread I could find about this which has pics (in a 996):

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/263756-so-i-disconnected-the-pse-from-sport-button.html

It is the black cable with the dark orange connector. Push IN on the metal clip and slide off - it is a quick release connector.

I have x51 - is it different for us?

TY much in advance!!!

I could not locate it on my car. It is different on the X51. I asked the dealer(Suncoast) to do it and they did it while I hung around. It seemed to take about 1/2 an hour, so I think there is more to it than unpluging a switch, but I'm not sure. Anyway the car sounds GREAT at all speeds.

Congrats!

How about some pictures for goodness sake. Have some pride man! The photos in this thread should be yours.

Doesn't that X51 just burble like a big old V8? I love it.

Drive it like you stole it and my guess is you won't burn much oil. I burned about 0.6 quarts in the first 800 miles and nothing since (at 4,500 now). I did have the oil changed at 850 concurrent with the fleeting misfire though (that misfire never did come back fortunately). I'd say the old 1,000 mile oil change is not a bad idea.

PLease give us some pictures and more of your thoughts on this wonderful Porsche engine.

Enjoy!

Congratulations on a beautiful Porsche. I can see from the brake dust on the front wheels that it's not garage art. Nice Pics. Love the black dials.
