No problem about the plate. I'm also installing the K-40. Then Armorglove, then Jeff and crew install the Cayeene satellite unit into the PCM system.

Funny, I was in the shop probably same time you met with Randy to do the install. i see you car there every so often. Nice by the way!

Thanks for the comments, yellow belts arer to match the PCCB's. The rear wing is a bit extreme, but hell, only do this once! Love the PSE sounds!

See you in Danbury again!

I have been red lining it from the start.

I red lined it in the first 100 miles [once] and have driving it like I stole it from the start. I drove it very hard yesterday hitting over 4200 very regularly.

Lets see if I run into any issues or not.

Uh oh, here we go again.

I think the key is nice long drives, keep it sane until the car is plenty warm, vary the tach, try not to hit the limiter (kind of ever) and move through the gears nice and smooth.

Enjoy, she's beautiful!

i didnt mean did he intentionally hit the rev limiter.
but listening to the engine, it's so smooth, you cant tell when you are getting close to redline.
they wouldnt have put the limiter past the point that would cause engine damage.(after break-in)

You know, I can't even see a NEED for 6000 rpm and above much because this thing drives so well in the 4-5000 range! But then,--might as well use the FULL potential! Years ago the 911s came on the cam at 4000 and screamed on through to 7000 quite easily. Now, with the amount of torque the thing produces even at 3000 it is amazing!

You need to unplug your PSE accuator so you can hear it in its full glory, then you won't have any problem knowing where you are in the RPM range. The problem is that when you do that you'll enjoy hearing it so much that you'll be going to 6500 RPM's intentionally for that wonderful roar!

on a 997s - just pop the back - look for the only orange connector - its on the right side (passenger side) - disconnect and you are done

Thumbs up

Do a long haul, continuous run for break-in, you'll be glad you did!!!

Post observations of how easy or difficult it is to drive around with the Aero kit.

Sign-up and attend PDE!!!
Porsche Driving Experience
You'll then see how much more capable the car really is!!
