My V-1 is 4 years old and has safe us mucho dinero. It does get hot to the touch, but still works like a champ!

Finally got around to measuring the temp. Without any solar influence, running but in the garage, its surface temp is 105 degrees F. With 10 minutes of sun on it in the front window and running it got up to 112. I consider that fairly warm for electronic components.
