Is there a specific Porsche sunshade for the 997, or is it the same one as for the 996, thanks

It is the same as the 996. Porsche never did one specifically for the 997 but the 996 fits for teh most part.

As far as I know, they do not make one with a Porsche logo for the 997. The UVS100 heat shield is made by Covercraft and is available at their website or any number of other websites. It is tailored specifically for the 997 and will fit much better than one made for the 996. I purchased mine directly from Covercraft and its the real thing.

I use the sunshade from my M3 when I park my 997C4S outside. It actually fits perfectly.

I turn it around so I only look cheap and not a dork with BMW on the outside glass.

I kept the Porsche sunshade from my 996. It works, but its not the greatest fit.
