I do remember paying dues the following years.
If that was the case I don't think Porsche, being the most profitable automaker for a few years now, is as desperate now for customers.

I renewed last night.

There is one possibility left, though, granted, it's a remote possibility. ... The dealer could have simply charged you for it and you just didn't see the charge in the laundry list of charges, right there next to documentation fee buried under other sundry charges. Possible but unlikely. I'd like to think the dealership simply paid for it out of the goodness of their heart, hoping you'd appreciate the gesture and come back to them for your next p-car after being hooked on the marque.

ben,

after you agree on a price you let them add fees instead of backing them out?
how are you ever going to get that laguna beach house doing business like that?

Now Jeff, I'm disappointed in you. I thought you were a logical thinker capable of not lagging far behind me.

But, pray tell, where in my statement did you infer that I let them add fees without my knowledge when I bought my car?

As a matter of fact I had them remove the aforementioned "doc fee" when I brought it to their attention that they had never mentioned that charge. And when they told me they are required by law to charge that, I told them if that's the case to deduct it from the purchase price of the car. It was only like 45 bucks. So in essence I got 45 off MSRP.

Funny man, it was not a negotiated amount by any stretch. It was just a simple request which they gladly complied with.

By the way, if I do get this beach house, will you help me with the $108k/mo. mortgage if I let you stay a while?
