Default Parts Quote

I just got this quote from a dealer as I am going in for an oil change on my C2 S.
The side markers quote is ridiculous but is everything else in line with what I should be paying ?
Also the chrome tips are each is this 2 or 4 on an S....dealer says 2 !!

Thanks

Chrome exhaust tips $234.69 each + $105.00 Labor

Clear side markers $75.00 each (n/c Labor)

Illuminated door sills $571.44 Stainless steel + $105.00 Labor
$833.61 Carbon Fiber

Both the exhaust tips and the illuminated door sills would have to be special ordered. We have the side markers in stock.

Suncoast sells the Porsche clear side markers for $30 (price just went up):
http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...tegory_Code=WS

Sunset (www.sunsetimports.com) sells all Porsche parts for cost plus 15% plus shipping.

I don't know my Florida anatomy very well but I think Suncoast is in Sarasota?

You could save some dinero on the clear sides and install them yourself - I know there's a recent good install thread here somewhere.

agree with coochas....also the labor on my carbon door sills was much more, about 400.00 and before you take the car in make sure they order the sills and make sure they visually check them before you drop your car off. they ordered my sills three times before the distribution center sent the correct parts. it turns out the part number was correct on the outside of the box but the actual part was incorrect inside the box....it meant leaving my car at the dealer for 6 days while we waited on the correct parts.

I believe you can get the tips for $450 and some places install it for free. The clear side marker price is absurd and is an easy DIY project. I recently posted picture of my install. I've seen the illuminated door sills sell for $535...not sure about installation cost. Finally, I thought that the CF sills were only slightly higher in price than the illuminated.

Took me 10min to install side markers that cost less than 30.00. The instructions are in the book that came with the car under changing light bulbs in side markers!!!!

Exhaust tips seem about right.....Labor install is ridiculous, it's quite literally a single bolt on each exhaust.
Side markers.....silly price
Illuminated door sills...pretty good, I got mine for $500....Labor install is such a good price, that I'm pretty sure they've quoted you wrong .......probably quoted for a stainless (non illuminated ) door sill install. There's @ 4 hour of labor for illuminated door sills

Carbon fiber door sills are $529 at Suncoast online, illuminated $535. Installation must be a mistake and even for nonilluminated the labor sounds very reasonable.

Clear sides is a total joke - order them for $30 and put them on yourself (10 minutes max).

Chromed dual exhaust tips are $376 at carnewal.com. Better deal is to order PSE for about $1,800, which includes dual chromed exhaust tips! (PSE tips are different, BTW.)
