Question First build for '07s

Does anyone know what month the factory first starts to produce the '07 model? Also, I recall hearing something about the factory closing for summer. Any truth to that? Thanks all.

It typically closes in August. I believe they perform tooling changes across the factory during that time and then begin on the next MY. I know the factory shuts down in August, but the rest needs to be verified if this info is important for you.

I was given exactly the same info as fluid 15 by the UK main dealer in Reading just a few days ago.

My dealership advised me that this year Porsche will go on holiday in September. The MY07 will begin in August 06.

My friend Jo works at Porsche AG Leipzig and he told me he is off in August and they as well as Porsche Stuttgart all go back to work in early September.

I lived in Germany for about a year and pretty much all of Germany(factories) shuts down in August as well as the rest of Europe. Kids all back to school in September just like our US kids so everyone is back to work in September.
