Diesel Fuel takes stuff off really well. When I worked on my dirtbike, go-kart etc and my hands were black I rinsed them in diesel fuel I imagine like all things just wash it off after.

Dealer installed my lighted sills-I had to go check when I read this thread but no gap that I can find.
Installed aluminum pedals today which I got from a group buy on 996 forum.

What works even better is a product called 'goof off' - comes in a spray and a pour bottle. I used the pour bottle on a rag, and then used a strong finger and a lot of elbow grease and the double sided tape comes off quickly. That's how I debadged my car.

Have tried goof off very good to remove airbag stickers but for double sided tape use lighter fluid will not hurt the paint

Interesting, because I had better experience removing double sided tape with goof off myself...
