Default Question for board regarding wheels

I have an '06 C4, artic sliver, full black leather and several other options. I plan to replace my '18" carrera III wheels with 19" ers. I have narrowed my search to the following....first 2 are fiske, second 2 are porsche and last one is techart....what do you think would look best?

By the way, my car is pictured also. I am a stalker at the moment but plan to join today...you guys give great advice!!

Go drive a car with 19" wheels before you do, and click the (review) link in my signature and search for 19 to see why I like the Carrera Classics but wish they were 18" wheels.

Ronmart,

thx for the advice...I will drive 19" to see if the ride is too harsh. If it is I may have the car lowered a bit to reduce the gap.

I'd think twice about lowering the car too. Go park your car in a spot with one of those concrete stoppers and get on your hands and knees to see the clearance. It a'int much, so if you were to lower these cars more than what you get with PASM, then you are going to have to be super careful to avoid knocking the lip off your front end.

Personally, a PASM lowered car is as low as I'd possibly want for a daily driver. Anything less, and it because a track toy in my opinion.

When I first lowered one of my 911s in the past I put a sticker on the steering wheel: "Low Airdam!"

It helped me to remember that things had changed in that department. I'll tell you,--our public roads are just not ready for anything too low,--either that, or get really friendly with the local paint shop and have a spare nose.

Good point Ron and Edgy...

I had trouble negotiating the steep parking lot entrances here in Houston with my recently (and unfortunately) totaled '04 c4s...front lip was too low. I now have no trouble so will probably stand pat except with the addition of sports exhaust....gotta spend money on something!!

Wheels are pretty much personal preference, so you are likely to get many different responses. After months of looking and contemplating, I got Champion RG5 monolites, and almost a year later I still love them. (In addition to looks, they are also very light and very strong.) Champion makes some very sweet wheels, make sure you look at them before finalizing your decision.

I looked at photos..they are beautiful wheels. May I ask what you paid for them?...one vendor had them at $4800 for the set.
