Such a "thing" as using too little oil?
My 2006 C2S has 4300 miles now, and I have added only 1 quart Mobil One. Broken in (mostly) as indicated by Porsche, and driven relatively gently except one visit to autocross, and several brief speed encounters to the 130-155 (max) mph mark.
Is there such thing as using too little oil? Could this mean I have an engine issue?

I added about 1 Qt. up to ~ 2000 miles, then nothing until I changed the oil
at 4600 mi.

Cytoboy, I think the problem is that you need to DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT. That will assure you consume oil.
Seriously, you are fine. Mine took a quart at 2000 and another quart at 3000.

I drove my car home from Topeka to Chicago - 14 miles on the clock at the start. Total distance was 571 miles, and I was very careful to stay under 4500 RPM. The car consumed no oil whatsoever.
Since then, I've put about 200 miles on the car, not being quite as cautious - and I've lost one bar (0.4 litre) on the oil gauge. 1081iAddict's observations are correct - the harder you drive, the more oil you use. I will continue to be cautious for a while - but it's getting tougher every day... <g>
Addict, your car is beautiful. How did the PCCBs work at the Autocross?

I have 2180 miles on my car 2004 (996) purchased new this past December. It has yet to consume any oil, and I have driven it pretty hard though making sure to stay under 4500 rpm unitl just recently.
