Hello folks,

Lots happening in the porsche world right now for sure. Exciting to see the gt3 and TT pix today.

I am thinking of switching my x51 997s to a gt3, and am wondering about the configuration of the gt3 [using the UK configuration tool for now]

If I get the bucket seats, I am wondering they are more or less comfortable than the adaptative sports seats?

Are the bucket seats going to cause me back problems?

Anyone who has these seats, which I believe are the same from the CGT, please let me know your experience with them.

I do go to DE about 4 or 5 times a year, but I want to enjoy the 2 hour long drives there and back as well

I can't comment on the seats,--but if you're starting with a 997S with X51,--you're certainly in GT3 territory,--particularly if you were going with a coupe anyway.

When you say "territory" do you mean in gt3 pricing territory? If not, what did you mean?

Based on the boards, the cost for the gt3 will be 5k to maybe 10k more.

In exchange the gt3 has more hp and less torque but is a superior track car.

i cant sleep at night because I cant decide. As the x51 continues to be delayed, my decision becomes easier.

If I get the gt3, I will likely get the bucket seats because i hate sliding around on the track - I just dont wanna damage my already weak back. [i sit in a chair too much as it is for work.]

That's what I mean. By the time you put a couple of options on the X51 equipped 997S you might as well go for the GT3....price wise.
