But then wouldn't Le Ben confuse our French friends still since it would connote an inanimate object, as in Le Car? Hmmm.

OMG. Le Car,...I had forgotten about that chapter. Wasn't there an R5 or something like that which was like Le Car on Les Steroids?

hahaha my friend had a lecar in highschool
after about a year it bit the dust and was totalled in an accident
he came to school and we stared at his new focus
and I said "well wow, that's the end of an era. the last Le Car is finally gone"

The Cayman's nice looking car and having the mid-engine thing going on is great for handling. I once owned a mid-engine Ferrari and loved to chunk it around corners in Ireland before the advent of speed-cameras and the era of too many cars on the roads. But having driven rear-engined 911s for the last decade and a half, I honestly think that I prefer the feeling of driving a rear-engined car. Sure it's potentially more dangerous, but it can also be a heck of a lot more fun, too.

If you're looking to the LA Times for information on sportscars, you are an absolute moron.

I'm on my fourth 911 but had a Boxster S for a couple years in between 911's 2 and 3. Boxster S was a quick and great handling little car. Cayman undoubtedly is a step up in power and perhaps a little in handling. Great stuff. But they ain't a 911. For me, there's something magical about 911's and I'm sure most of you will agree.

Saw a rear mid-engine Turbo R5 on the Harbor Freeway here in L.A., just last month.

Respect demanded here:

Those mid-engined R5s were notoriously twitchy and difficult to handle at the limit - which is why they appeal to me
