-Sports Chrono Pkg Plus
-Porsche Crest
-Aerokit
-PSE
-Bose Stereo

-Telephone
-Sand Beige Interior
-Colour Porsche Wheel cap
-Bi Xenon headlamps and lamp washer
-Tiptronic

Can't wait...........

Neosky - First, welcome to the best Porsche Forum on the 'net. Second, nice specs on your car. I'll bet you are stoked about the pending delivery of your car. Make sure you post pics of your car!

Having just picked up my first Porsche in the last few days, I know just how you feel. Enjoy the car - it's a fantastic experience.

Excellent news Neosky!

It's interesting to see how each of us approach the process from prospecting to delivery. With some choosing to publically solicit input on which options to order, the waiters line/head waiter status, etc. While others quietly lurk and then announce new car is here and everything in between.

Now that your car is ONVESL, you'll have to share all the remaing phases with the group.

Hey I know what it feels like to not be a waiter. When I drove home that first time it was if i were zone all to myself. I couldn't remember one car on the road. It was as if I were driving be myself.
Enjoy and post that photo album.

Jay. Congratulations.

does anyone know what % are special ordered?

i always assumed that about 90% were just dealer allocation spec orders. but it seems like increasingly people are special ordering and waiting.

Well, considering that I'm located in Taiwan, which has a small market for Porsche, most cars are ordered from factory directly. It wouldn't be too prudent to order a bunch of cars and let them sit on the dealer's lot because here in Taiwan, they have a special way of categorizing the model year and its depreciation value. For example, a 2006 car build in year 2005, would be considered as 05/06 and it is worth less than a 2006 car build in the year 2006. So, let's say you have a car build in Dec. 2005, it would be worth around 10% less than a car build in Jan. 2006.

Weird eh?

Be sure to send me pics of your car when you get it. Since I have a midnight blue C4s Cab on the way, I'd like to see what your Aero kit looks like.
