Nice find and a damn nice car.

The pics of your Camaro are awesome. That is also a sweet ride.

That's the kind of garage my buddies and I are talking about building. In a few years I'm going to expand some of our commercial buildings . . . and there may just be a little extra built to house some equipment and, by then, some additional german machinery.

Congrats.

Chris,

Thanks for the kind words. I grew up in the 70's when '69 Camaro's were a dime a dozen. I always loved them and wanted one, but I didn't have the $ and most important a license yet

My building is ok. I wanted it to be functional and still have room to store cars. I've been over to Germany around 25 times and saw the workshops over there. I took notes and got some good ideas. One thing I'll never forget was just how clean they keep their shops.

Best Wishes to you on your workshop.

Excellent choice as an addition to your family! And, speaking of families, I can't help but notice some similiarities with mine. I wonder if we are all related...LOL.

Thanks rss, Yeh I really looked around asked all my Porsche friends who bought brand new cars. They all said buy a good used one about 1 year old or so. You can't go wrong. Thats what I did. I drove the car all night last night. It is amazing. My last Porsche was a 1985 944 bought back in 1985 from my cousin with only 5,000 miles. This 997S is worlds away from that car, but I still loved that car since it was my first car at age 17.

Best Wishes,

Race cars are always in need of repairs, plus it's climate controlled with Heat/AC, full on kitchen, office, and video room. My 997S will be well taken care of. I've got just about every tool in the book to work on her.
The MAJOR tool for todays Porsche is the PIWIS system tester.
Got one of those?

Why did you tow home instead of getting some long run miles on the clock?

Nice Garage BTW...Bigger than my house

I can wrech on the car , but no I don't have one of those. I use to road race an old '88 E30 M3 and didn't need fancy computers for that car. I know from my '05 E55 that today's cars are all computer. I went to look for the dib stick in the 997's engine bay and couldn't find it. Found out after RTFM that it's displayed on the dash, Unreal!!!!

The 2005 997S that I bought Friday already had 6,000 miles. So it was already broken in. I live in NJ, the car was 7 hours south in Virginia. I own a pick-up and a car trailer so it was a no brainer for me since I went solo.
I did drive it all last night. What an awesome car this thing is
