Oil consumption
If the actual oil level is 0.59 L low, however, the 0.4 Segment will stay lit and not flicker. In fact if the level is between 0.21 and 0.59, the 0.4 Segment will stay lit continuously and not flicker because of the ± 0.2 gauge accuracy.
So if your gauge is showing one segment low in oil, and it’s not flickering, your actual oil level is between 0.21 and 0.59 L low. So if you put in more than 0.21 L of oil, you could be potentially overfilling. So to be on the safe side, if you wanted to add oil when it’s only one segment down I would only add 0.2 L of oil at a time {or slightly less than a ¼ of a QT (0.211 QT)} because of the gauge accuracy factor.
In my case, I am down two segments with no flickering, which means my actual oil level is between 0.61 and 0.99 L low. And it could take as little as 0.61 L, or as much as 0.99 L to fill to maximum.
The manual recommends adding only 0.5 L or QT at a time when filling, and then checking with the electronic gauge. I would add that once the oil level has reached the 1 Segment low level when refilling, add only a ¼ of a QT at that point, and then check to see if all segments are lit:

Beyond the good analysis of OCBen and others: make sure you take the reading in a consistent way. For instance a flat road. I have seen a bar difference dependent on how you put the car, temperature of the motor, etc.
