Honestly I would just keep the c2s with some winter rubber, it will be ok, if it's really crappy outside, just stay home or use mass trans.

Do you really need park assist? It's the one option that to me seems like a total waste on a 911 as opposed to say, an SUV.

why spend the $$$ for parking assist? It is not a SUV. How much does that cost? You could send that money on the thicker SW and leather.

And finally...the order is in and all the niceties of price agreements sorted and in writing.

Atlas Gray C2S Cab - in the end I have alternatives if the weather is really bad, and I have the winter wheels and tires already.

All options stay except spacers - don't need them for the C2S

Added crests in headrest

Short shifter - didn't order it but dealer will fit for free later if I decide I want it.

Park assist - done because my wife is shorter and the view out of a much narrower back window makes it less easy to place. It pays for itself if you ding the rear bumper once.

March production - now begins another wait...

Addendum

Thanks to everyone who 'voted" on the spec

As to Nav - for most of my driving I'm on familiar roads, when not it's easier to do mapquest, or for long trips my wife does the nav thing very well. If I lived in Europe however it would have been a top 5 option/must have.

Phone - I avoid using it in the car as it's too much of a distraction

Ceramics - if I had gone for a straight C2 with 18" wheels and std suspension yes - but with my spec it tips the scale too far to add them in.

Logo on rear console - I'm getting crests on the headrests so adding that would make it a little too "chav" for me.

Fire extinguisher - don't track the car often enough to see the need particularly when you have a full safety crew trackside.

MichaelL brings up a good point about the backs of the A.S.S. seats,--Volcano Grey. Spend the $1600 and get them in leather to go with the rest of the interior.

The funny thing is I like the backs in Volcano Gray - makes them feel more like race shells. If I had gone for Speed Yellow, White or Red, then I would have had the seat backs in the exterior color to get more of a race feel to them.

I don't think the adaptives are worth the money (I have them); I'd just get the sport seats. Lots of folks like the auto dimming, but I don't think it's that great as already posted above. While the Bose does sound better than stock, it isn't that great. I'll probably have to look to the aftermarket for decent sound; sad that my wife's lexus w/o upgraded audio sounds better. Thick wheel a great choice, I'd like to add it once it becomes available from Carnewal. Good choice on the sport exhaust too, I have one ready to go on to wake up my car.

I have nav and still have yet to use it. My car is a daily driver, and for long trips where it would come in handy I'm in the kid hauler.

Adaptive are expensive but when you have two drivers (wife & I) who are very different in height they make sense in that you have seat memory and the "wings" can easily be adjusted to fit two different sized torso's.

Auto-dimming makes sense when I get infuriated by SUV's with badly adjusted headlights. If I think I have close company behind that might be interested in my speed, I switch off the dimming.

I doubt you should get a 4S cabrio - sort of contradicts itself, adds weight, etc - although it will handle better in the wet too.... For snow though, you've got the audi.
Read some back issues of Excellence (November 2005, I believe)
As well, black interior? Personally, I HATE darker interiors... They're just too gloomy for my taste, personally, I prefer beige - alhough the cocoa leather is nice - although you probably know what you like anyways.
The black dials apparently are easier to read than the standard dials, according to Excellence's January 06' article on the 50th anniversary PCA club coupe.
As well, have you condsidered getting the upgraded engine? Might be a bit much, i dunno how you view it but some people swear up and down by it.
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/234185-c2s-vs-c2s-x51.html
is a good review of X51 vs standard engines

Finally, strongly consider the PSE - so many threads in this forum are people talking about how they love it, it seems to be a popular aftermarket addition - it's not that much and it has a nice exhaust note....

Have you looked at options such as interior leather, wood, carbon, etc....? Don't go crazy on these options as you'll never get money back on them, but some things, like for example leather sun visors, will add a nice touch....

As well, I'd say go for an interesting top colour, like dark blue or something - just adds a little visual 'pop' when the top is up, in my humble opinion.

anyways, what you need to ask is how far do you want to go? How long are you keeping this car? If your anwser is 20 years, don't compromise, get all the options you want. If your answer is until the next 911 comes, then go easy on the options.

Vancouver 83LTD: I'm sticking with rwd as I don't think I will need it here (or lat least I have alternatives if the weather is really bad).

PSE is on the list (code XLF). X51 would be nice, like PCCB's but pushes the whole thing over my $ limit.

Beige vs Black. My issue is what beige looks like 3-4 years from now. Black seems to age better and even if the leather gets distressed. whereas older beige/tan leathers I have seen look tatty. Interior is full leather with leather rear center console and crests in headrests. no CF or AL or Wood as it just adds more clutter than I want.

Deanski: I personally have no need for any of these options

641 Electronic Logbook 650.00
672 Extended Navigation Nodule 2,275.00
692 Remote CD Changer (6 Disc) 650.00
X70 Metal Door Sill Nodal Insignia 415.00

You might want to consider:
XRR Carrera Sport wheel - maybe in body color with the rim unpainted.
XPA thicker rim sport steering wheel - nicer to hold than 460

This is true... I distinctly remember a Lincoln Navigator at least year's autoshow. This car was on display in april, so it'd been on the floor at various autoshows for several months and the door side bolster was black, while the rest of the interior was cream...
It's a bit of a toss up, it in a few years either holds up well, or it looks like hell.
Anyways, is it really necessary that you get a cabrio? I mean if you're looking for a second porsche you might be happier getting something else that's already taken a hit in the depreciation...
And with that money you save you very possibly may be able to purchase a turbo cabrio for not much more...
