Tint shade: Dark or Light or Mixed

Need some help from you regarding tinting.
I am going to tint my P. The question isn't about whether to tint or not.
I am torn about going with the lightest tint all around or a more darker shade. The darker shade is more likely to get in trouble with the cops since tinting the driver's side is not allowed in California.
I can go with the darker shade for the back windows and rear window, and a lighter shade for the front windows. The cops probably can't tell that the front windows are tinted. Would that look good with two different shades? Or am I better off tinting the whole car with the same color?
Anyone has their car tinted with two different shades for front and back? How does that look on the 997?

I tinted the back 3 windows medium and it looks good.If I did it again I might go darker.I didn't screw with the front windows cause I really don't feel like getting pulled over just for that.CHP are dicks anyway.

I think all windows be the same shade or no tint at all -- looks cleaner and more uniform. Choosing the right shade depends on the color of the car and your personal preference -- perfer lighter myself. I'm choosing the no-tint option this time around. Never had an issue with the CHP for tint -- only speeding. :-)

This brings up a good question. Years ago it was very common to order "tinted glass." It's not really a public option on the Porsche site. What's the deal with the factory delivered glass? Is it shaded a little to start with? When you say that you're going to tint it, are you referring to that plastic stuff that you apply with a LOT of water?
Thanks for the clarification.

I am not sure what plastic stuff is, but it is a firm that they apply, I guess with water. Is there some other kind of tinting that I should be considered. I don't want them to spit and apply some cheap stuff to my Baby.

I did 50% tint, same on all five windows. Just my opinion, any darker doesn't look right on a 911. With 50% you still filter some heat on hottest days + parked at night it is difficult for thugs to see into the car.
