This is what the will do next, Japanese/Acura-styled exhaust apertures on the turbo. Geez! will they just let that pointy oval thing go?! How about a CGT-ish exhaust? TWO single tailpipes, looks muuuuuch better, less trendy. If anything Porsche should set the styling trends not follow them!

I've contacted my service center and learned that, on my '05 C2S there is/are, 1) a shifter cable bracket recall (W557), 2) an oil filler neck product update (W530), and 3) moisture in harness product update (W533).

Car is in the shop, with 14999 miles, for at least a week awaiting parts and the 8-9 hours of service time installing them. After leaking oil from day one, the RMS was replaced at approx. 8000 miles. It has not leaked a single drop since.

I think my car is "special"... like helmet, drool bib, and ritalin "special".

Interesting, PCNA replaced both of my PSE mufflers due to rattling issues, and they said it was due to bad welds. This was prior to the release however....

I may have asked this in another thread that I cannot locate now. But does this recall apply to my July 2005 build 997S if I got the PSE option? Thus, does it apply to both PSE and non PSE exhaust?

To update my previous post about a week in the shop for recall issues and product updates... the shop replaced, with an upgraded design, the 1) air filter box, 2) oil filler tube assembly, 3) shift cable bracket under the rear center console, and 4) the electrical harness in the driver's door. And while they had it I had them put two new shoes on the rear wheels, for a hearty $1073.00.

Amazing part is that I can't tell anyone has even been in the car, much less done work to it... with the exception of the tires which have those annoying grooves in the surface that I spend all my time trying to burn off.

I have PSE tips and they weren't effected by recall.

And, I got to drive a V6 Cayenne which really wasn't any worse, power wise, than anyother V6 truck. Good experience all in all.

I got the recall notice in the mail on Saturday. I have a Feb 05 build 997S. Wondering if I should spring the extra coins for PSE, when I take it back to the dealer. Maybe they will give me a credit of $5.00 for not having them fix the weld and put on new chrome tips.

Give you credit?... man, what are you smoking?

IMO, PSE would sound GREAT on a 997 S!

I got my exhaust tip recall notice late last week. Called my local P-dealer and after checking my VIN # told me my car had a total of four recalls. My car is a Sept '04 build.
