Do you intend to eventually sell your 997 or keep it?

My first Porsche was a new 1996 993 Targa and I told myself that I would keep forever.
Nine years later I traded it in for a 2005 997S.
There is nothing wrong with the 993, but the newer 911 is usually always nicer and why not treat yourself after so many hours and years of hardwork.
My next goal is 998TT.
The limiting factor for me is limited garage spaces for three cars only...

Assuming it doesn't give me any trouble, I imagine I'll keep it as long as I have room for it and it isn't a financial burden. I would hope that would be at least 10 years.
Prior to getting my Mercedes, I never kept a car more than 3 years. However, those Germans really know how to build a car that you'll love for a long time. I've been in my Benz for nearly 6 years (and it was a replacement for a 2 year old Benz that was totalled and I ordered a almost exact replacement the same day of the crash). I still get in that car after all of this time and love it as much as I did when I first drove it off the showroom floor, so I hope I get the same feeling with my first Porsche when it arrives. That is why I got everything I wanted on it (within reason), because I hope to have it a very long time.

I'll be trading mine in on a 997 Turbo in about 4-5 years. The '89 3.2 however is mine forever. It was my first and I can't even think about parting with it. It's in perfect shape and there's just something about the ticking of a hot air-cooled Porsche that makes my blood flow.

997s for a 997tts in 4 years sound good to me. Maybe they can get that whole dsg/pdk situ sorted out by then. Well, if they come out with a 7-speed tip lets say i'll have alot to think about
