Default Type of Petrol??? UK 997S Cab

Hi,
When I picked up my car, I was advised that regular unleaded petrol was the correct type for this car.
Having run previous cars (M3, and other BMWs) on Premium Unleaded, I was wondering if I should be changing over?
TIA for any guidance on this.
Henri

I would stay with the Premium Unleaded.

If you're in the UK then would suggest running it on Shell Optimax (98 Octane) or BP Ultimate (97 Octane).
Your car will run without problems on normal 95 Octane unleaded but you will not get optimum performance.

Thanks for that.
Looks like I'll be making my way to Shell tomorrow.

Tesco Super Unleaded has 99 octane rating and is about 93p/L. I'm planning to use it in my C4S when it arrives in 3 weeks.... The boxster makes do with regular unleaded. (I don't work for Tesco!)
