Does anyone jack 'em up and put jack stands underneath for even better access? Seems you could do this, take off your wheels and clean them while the oil's draining, then refill and put the wheels back on. Kill two birds with one stone ;-)

 

I keep essentially an engineering notebook in the car all the time (for all my cars). Records every thing that goes into it. If you ever get into a dispute with PCNA on the car that evidence alone is enough to an arbitrator to side with you. Several years ago I had a problem with my VW Vanagon in that the head gaskets failed. It was a known engineering defect. I just happened to coax a lot more miles out of mine before it finally 'went.' VW replaced them and then tried to stick me with the massive bill. My little black book was xeroxed and submitted to the arbitrator and they wound up paying 80% of the bill,--with some 96,000 on it by then. Keep records!
