I totally agree. I had mine done by Premier, and it is absolutely incredible at how clear and invisible it can look,...especially when there are no seams showing. I can't imagine not getting a clear bra after seeing how bad it can get on my previous M3.

That is embarrassing.

Default Clear Paint FIlm

I had Armorglove done on my previous car, Lexus SC430, and worth every penny!

Front airdam, hood wrapped, headlights, fender wings, rocker panels, side mirrors and door cups for finger-nail protection.

Armorglove in Greenwich, CT did a perfect job and look forward to them installing it on my new ordered '06 C2S with Aero Kit!

Regards,
Deanski

My 3M installation, after 2 months in place, has 2 good hits. A daily, all year driver will sustain damage from road hazards, without any driver error. Good luck out there.

Alot depends on where you drive. I hardly ever hear stone chips being created where I drive the 911.

Like many others, I sing the praises of Sam and his crew at Premier Mobile. They did my '05 997 cab while on tour in Austin late last August. Tremendous install. Wouldn't let anyone else touch my cab.

With my last G35 I literally had the whole front end covered by Bhane over the last 3 years. The upside is that you don't get chips, but the downside is that it is somewhat noticeable and over time the clear bra wasn't as glossy as the rest of the car and looked kind of like orange peel, however I will still be clear bra'ing my new 997 because I'd rather have the clear bra on than have the front end pimpled with white chips on my black paint. Bhane hit me back up on 6speed i sent you a PM 3 days ago

Thanks YoungTurk, we are currently working on a trip to Austin / Dallas in late April......maybe we'll catch dinner one of those nights.

I didn't do the 993 as it was freshly painted and am forever sorry. I should have parked it to let the paint cure and then put the film on, but of course, I wanted to drive it!

Porsche paint just chips like crazy. The first thing I did with the 997 was take it into Chips Away and had the film put on. Looks great, too.
