Wheel Spacers

Wheel Spacers
Has anyone added the Wheel Spacers to their 997/997S? I see it is also a factory option now. I would think that pushing the wheels out will be an improvement in the cars appearance, but would be interested to hear if there is a noticeable difference in the drive of the car.

Three Wheelin'
I agree $500 for 5MM is a little pricey. I ordered my car with the Carrera Sports which are wider in the rear anyway so I am thinking that will give me a bit of a visual difference.

These fit perfectly on the back of a 2005 997S because I installed mine this morning. BTW, the only time you can tell the difference is when you have installed one side (I only did the rears) and then look at the other side without the spacer installed. You will notice that the wheel fills up the wheel well much better with the spacer.
I will put Michelin PS2's in the 305 size on the rear when my rears wear down another 4mm. They should fill out the rear fender wells just right.
Good luck with yours!

5mm is for fine tuning not for look. if u want the look u need anything above 10mm to see the difference. i know aftermarket company like Eibach has 7mm & 15mm for Porsche including bolts. 7mm is fine for the front but the 15mm for rear might be too much. local machine shop can make them as 12mm then they'd be perfect.
can u see the difference?

I purchased my parts from Wheel Enhancement, and they are knowledgeable and give excellent service.

And with respect to the part number, the Tequipment brochure my dealer gave me lists a part number for the spacers as 000, etc., not 996, etc. I'm going to double-check with the parts guys to before putting these on.

I have a set of H and R 7mm Spacers and Bolts I bought for my 997C2S before I bought TechArt Formulas. These are a lot less money than the factory ones. If anyone wants them send me a private mail and we can work out a fair price.

BTW, Park Place Porsche has a 5mm spacer kit on sale on its website for $350.00. It includes everything, and the part number for the kit is 000-044-500-09. So maybe it is the kit that has the 000 part number.
